Useful Interviewing Tips from ABC News

This ABC News video contains some useful tips for getting ready for that all important job interview. In summary:

Apply directly for specific positions, beyond submitting a resume to an online database.
Once you apply, do not wait for companies to call you. Get a name of a decision maker at the company via research on the internet and follow-up with a call if possible

In the interview, don't say generic things about yourself, avoid focusing on personal economic woes or the job search. Talk about the interesting things you are doing, (and though it's not in the video, use your Coat of Arms and 30 Second Statements to focus on what your skills and talents are.)

Use good posture and body language. Avoid annoying nervous habits. Smile! Use good posture, relax and be pleasant.

Have some questions of your own to ask in the interviews. Your research of the company will lead you to the right questions to ask.

Remain optimistic as possible. Avoid pessimism.
